Script Development Workshop Retrospect :
Script Development Workshop held on 28th and 29th Nov.09 at I.C.S.S.R., Mumbai University, Santacruz (East) with optimistic approach for potential Senseindian script Writers .
The activity was a part of  Senseindia’s one year Professional Filmmakers Certificate program curriculum.
The discrimination in fundamentals of Story Writing, Novel Writing and Script writing were discussed in active participation of writers with various backgrounds.  With little revision of basic Film Making Workshop Participants expressed the certain most common problems in script writing in various sessions. The symposium revealed deferent point of views on the facts of successful cinema.
Bapu Sarvagod expressed his personal experiences in story development as it was about the roll of LEFT and RIGHT brain in writing process. He explained the intellectual and physical struggle of character’s emotions should have relevance that should relate universal appeal. He emphasized on the understanding of incident in story that remains the principal scene in entire story construction. He said that every story is the projection on the result of particular incidence so that the writer must understand the depth and dimensions of  that core “incidence”.











As a social responsible person roll of story writer is more important than the commercial formula writers. 
The projection of “True” experience of life through cinematic language Script Writers needs to be constantly active in writing presses.
The Workshop was held under the Guidance Bapu Sarvagod – Founder of Senseindia Foundation as well as session supported by Mr Suneel Satawalekar and Mrs. Sarita Sarvagod. At the end of the workshop every participant pitched their unique experience in the life that they seem to convert in to Film Script.












The selected scenes Screened  from the  films of Akira Kurosava’s “Rashoman”, Red Beard  as well as
Film portion of  “Lagaan”, Umrao Jaan , BABEL and “Bicycle Thieves” also screened as case studies.
Due to the request from numbers Senseindian participant who missed the activity Script Development Workshop again will take place in the first quarter of 2010.
